Here at the Epigenetics Healing Center, we work with a large variety of patients from all health levels and concerns. We see many patients come visit us after a diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes, and an unsuccessful treatment plan at moderating their blood sugar levels. Type 2 diabetes is a growing issue across the world as younger generations are developing the disease at an increased rate.
Diabetes can become a life-threatening disease if not properly addressed. Fortunately, with proper medical guidance and persistence, individuals can reverse their diagnosis — unlike Type 1 diabetes. This all can be done with little to no medication, but instead of just focusing on appropriate nutrition(which is very important as well), we also will look for anything that could raise blood sugars, such as; infections, exposures, or inflammatory disorders.
But first, what exactly is Type 2 diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is an onset disease that causes the body to improperly metabolize glucose (sugar). The body does one of two things, it either resists the effects of insulin or doesn’t produce enough insulin to maintain healthy sugar levels.
Signs & Symptoms of Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is often not the patient’s fault but due to infections, inflammation, or some other toxic exposure. Signs of the disease are often slow to develop, and many individuals may go years without knowing of their condition.
Symptoms to look for include:
- Increased thirst
- Frequent urination
- Increased hunger
- Unintended weight loss
- Fatigue
- Blurred vision
- Slow-healing sores
- Frequent infections
- Areas of darkened skin, usually in the armpits and neck
If individuals are unable to improve their diabetes and blood glucose levels, serious health complications become more likely. Other health concerns born out of diabetes include:
- Heart disease
- Nerve damage
- Kidney damage
- Eye damage (including blindness)
- Sleep apnea
- Alzheimer’s disease
How to Naturally Improve a Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis
Reversing your Type 2 diabetes diagnosis is possible. It starts with examining what is currently going on inside your body, followed by what you are internally and externally exposing your body to. When we have a new patient come to us with diabetes, it is critical to conduct blood work and other labs, in order to understand what their current baseline readings are in regards to hundreds of different markers.
Next, Dr. Goodbinder helps patients itemize the medications, foods, and possible environmental toxins that may be causing harm to their body. From here, we can begin to look into ways to remove destructive substances and inject better nutrients and vitamins into the body. Filling the body with nutrient-dense foods higher in fiber, protein, and good fats are the main component in helping the body reverse course.
There will be a precise plan put into place that will leave very little room for error. With a succinct plan and incredible support, living a normal life going forward isn’t just possible, it’s probable. Contact Dr. Goodbinder to find out how we can help!
