Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber

Are You Ready to Restore Your Life?

What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized enclosure known as a hyperbaric chamber. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a well-established therapy to help heal the body and mind. It is beneficial for brain dysfunctions, inflammatory diseases, and conditions where tissue healing is needed.

We use hyperbaric oxygen therapy as part of our functional medicine Life Restoration Program. To get started on your journey to self-healing, contact us today.

How Does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Work?

In a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the air pressure is increased to 3x that of normal air pressure, also known as an atmosphere. The pressure of the pure oxygen in the chamber is pressurized similarly to being about 33 to 45 feet below sea level.

Under these conditions, your lungs gather more oxygen than would be possible breathing pure oxygen at normal air pressures. Your blood carries this extra oxygen throughout your body. This helps fight bacteria and stimulates the release of substances called growth factors and stem cells, which promote healing.

Sessions in the chamber typically last about 90-120 minutes. The number of sessions you need varies widely based on your specific condition. We will work with you to make sure your plan includes treatments as needed.

The chamber itself is like a supersized sleeping bag. It is a single person unit with a long zipper top where the patient can enter and exit easily. Once inside, the chamber is sealed with zippers and straps and the pressure is gradually increased to the desired amount. Sessions will last from 30 minutes to two hours depending on your specific program.

How Oxygen Helps Heal

The body needs oxygen to do everything. With more oxygen at hand, your body is better able to heal itself in almost every way. The purpose of this kind of therapy to give your body what it needs to heal itself.

When you’re using the chamber, you’re breathing roughly 200 percent to 240 percent oxygen.

The more times you come for a session in the chamber, the more benefit you’ll get from the oxygen. The increase stimulates new blood vessels to form in the body’s tissues. The pressurized chamber also aids in reducing swelling and inflammation and improves blood flow.

This amount of oxygen used properly and regularly for certain conditions can speed up healing as much as 5 times, depending on the person and condition.

Using this therapy can help improve nearly any condition that is impacted by the body’s ability to heal itself. Some conditions that can improve through the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy include:

When you come into The Epigenetics Healing Center and are accepted into our program, we will address your conditions and decide if hyperbaric oxygen therapy is right for you.

What To Expect

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is very safe and non-invasive. It is performed outpatient in our office. You don’t need to do much to prepare, other than avoid wearing hair or skin care products that include petroleum. You are also not allowed to bring any fire hazards into the chamber, include battery-powered objects or lighters.

During your session in the chamber, you may experience some mild symptoms related to the increased air pressure. The increased air pressure can cause your ears to experience a temporary feeling of fullness. If you have been on an airplane before, you could compare the feeling to that. Yawning, chewing or swallowing can help relieve the feeling.

Most conditions are treated with multiple sessions of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. At The Epigenetics Healing Center, we prescribe hyperbaric oxygen therapy as part of a unique and comprehensive Life Restoration Plan to help you achieve healing goals that last forever.

Cancer Success Story With the Help Of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

gail-hyperbaric-success

Gail Collins thought 2017 was going to her best year. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn. Rather than experiencing the best year of her life, she ended up learning that she had two different types of cancer in both of her breasts.

She went through all the necessary education from her oncologists and decided against their recommendations to go through chemotherapy and radiation. After making her decision independently, she came to the Epigenetics Healing Center and told Dr. Goodbinder about the choice she had made.

Gail understood that Dr. Goodbinder’s was not promising that he was going to heal her. He told her that she was going to heal herself and that he would be there to support her along the way.  Gail says she was drawn to Dr. Goodbinder’s commitment to finding the underlying cause of the problem rather than prescribing a harsh treatment or medication to treat the issue.

She decided with her husband that she would participate in Dr. Goodbinder’s program. As part of the program, she had time in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber and participated in a full detox.

Today, she thanks God for the blessing of her time at the Epigenetics Healing Center and is proud to say that she is now cancer-free and plans to stay cancer free.

Watch Gail tell her full success story here.
