Crohn’s Disease is an inflammatory condition caused by an imbalance of your immune system that affects the lining of the digestive tract. It is considered a chronic disease within the mainstream medical community.

Crohn’s disease is common, affecting 200,000 to 3 million people in the US each year. Crohn’s is characterized by skip lesions or areas within the small intestines where there are skip lesions or outpouchings. Crohn’s Disease can affect all parts of the intestine – small intestine and large intestine. Most people think that ulcerative colitis is the only condition that affects the large intestine, but that is not true.

  • Spasms of the gut
  • Persistent Diarrhea
  • Trouble sleeping at night
  • Constipation, which can lead to bowel obstruction
