Did you ever wonder what’s in… ?

This study is showing that fish oil supplementation during pregnancy decreased the amount of inflammation circulating in the blood of the mother. Mom’s blood circulates through the baby. Therefore baby is less inflamed as well. Prior to taking fish oil or any supplement, please check with a natural medicine doctor to make sure what you are taking is beneficial.

Sometimes a mother has no choice but to feed a baby formula. However, this link shows how much more nutrients are in breast milk and if at all possible, that is what a baby should be fed.

A randomized controlled trial of chiropractic spinal manipulative therapy for migraine

This is a study that shows chiropractic adjustments to be remarkably effective for treating migraine headaches. Not only that, but you don't have to place a toxin in your body in order to cover up the pain such as tylenol, aleve or ibuprofen. An adjustment will simply relieve dysfunction in the spinal vertebrae and allow the body to function normally. Nobody is meant to live in pain the rest of their lives or be a slave to pharmaceuticals and other toxins that don't belong in the body. Please make an appointment today to find out if we can help you become healthy and stay that way for the rest of your life.

THE EFFECTS OF MATERNAL ULTRAVIOLET-B IRRADIATION ON VITAMIN D CONTENT OF HUMAN MILK

Should you always wear sunscreen when going out in the sun? You absolutely should not, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. First off, there have been multiple published studies showing an increase in skin cancer risk with exposure to the sunscreen chemicals. Second, if you are deficient in vitamin d, then your infant will be as well. Vitamin d deficiency is correlated with many chronic diseases. You have 2 choices, supplement with a physician quality vitamin d3 or get out in the sun consistently for 30 minutes a day without too modest of clothing.

This study shows that a sufficient level of vitamin D in the body decreases your chance of getting colon, breast, prostate, and ovarian cancers.

This journal articles shows that too low of cholesterol levels INCREASES your risk of mortality by 20%. Anything below 160 for total cholesterol is dangerous. If your doctor is prescribing you statin drugs and you haven't already had a heart attack, you need to have your doctor take a look at this.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Pregnancy

This study illustrates the vital importance of DHA and EPA in the diet of a pregnant female as well as the importance of it while breast feeding. It also points out the problems with consuming fish, seafood or anything from the sea, due to pollutants such as, mercury, pcb's and flame retardent. I recommend taking 2000 mg of quality fish oil daily to avoid those toxins while pregnant. It will assist with brain development and visual acuity and some studies show it can help with post-partum depression.

Vitamin D Deficiency and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

This study by the American Heart Association showing the Vitamin D deficiency is associated with Cardiovascular disease. Vitamin D is now considered a hormone and it controls the expression of over 200 genes. It is responsible for many things in the body and cardiovascular disease is just one of the effects of deficiency. Unless you are in the sun in a swim suit 30 minutes a day, you are probably deficient. Please talk to your natural health care provider about supplementation.

Calcium Bioavailability and Its Relation to Osteoporosis

If you think drinking cow milk is great for your calcium levels, think again. This study shows that you are only absorbing 20 - 40% of the calcium in the cows milk you ingest. Dark leafy green vegetable are by far the best source of calcium you can get. Not only that, but they have a plethora of phytochemicals, antioxidants and nutrients while cows milk has no phytochemicals or antioxidants at all. Calcium Bioavailability and Its Relation to Osteoporosis The balance of data suggests that calcium intake has a positive influence on bone mass in premenopausal women and has a preventive effect on the rate of bone loss in

Inhibitory and Bactericidal Effects of Hydrogen Peroxide Production by Streptococcus pneumoniae on Other Inhabitants of the Upper Respiratory Tract

Do you have a stubborn cold, flu, sinus or lung infection that won't seem to go away? If so, this study shows just how dramatically effective hydrogen peroxide can be when administered by a physician through a nebulizer. This research study specifically names hydrogen peroxide as being deadly to bugs that cause these conditions. If you know anyone suffering from one of these conditions, don't hesitate to send them to The Epigenetics Healing Center. We will help them get better in no time.

Metabolic Effects of Krill Oil are Essentially Similar to Those of Fish Oil but at Lower Dose of EPA and DHA, in Healthy Volunteers

If you think Krill oil is better for you than fish oil...think again. They have the same absorption but krill oil raises the chemicals in the body that increase inflammation. Humans don't eat krill so chugging their oil is probably a bad idea as well.

Effect of glycemic control, race (white versus black), and duration of diabetes on reduced glutathione content in erythrocytes of diabetic patients

It seems that people with type I diabetes are dramatically deficient in a body chemical called glutathione. Supplementation with glutathione does not absorb well orally. At our clinic, we use a nebulizer to supply pharmaceutical glutathione for maximal absorption. If you know anyone with diabetes, please let them know about our clinic as this could truly change their life.

We designed this study to examine whether uncontrolled hyperglycemia, duration of diabetes, or race (black v white) have any effect on glutathione levels in erythrocytes of type I diabetic patients.

Vaccines to prevent influenza in healthy adults

Cochrane review does something called meta-analysis and they have done one on all influenza vaccines research. About half of the studies were funded by the pharmaceutical companies that made the drugs. Even then, in ideal conditions, you have a .03 chance of it helping you and in less than ideal conditions; you have a .01 chance of any benefit. Those numbers are optimistic because, as previously stated, there is bias in about half the studies. Most likely, there is no actual benefit to the influenza vaccine.

A review of fatty acid profiles and antioxidant content in grass-fed and grain-fed beef

If you think that cutting red meat out of your diet will be a healthy choice, you are mistaken. Getting 100% grass-fed meat can be very healthy. There is more omega-3's and unsaturated fat than in grain fed meat. It also is nutrient dense with high levels of vitamins A, B6, B12, D, E, and minerals, including iron, zinc and selenium. There are multiple different types of cholesterol in animal products and the type that doesn't raise cholesterol in humans (stearic acid) is a much greater portion of the cholesterol in the 100% grass fed meat.
